Karsog is a Town in Mandi District in Himachal Pradesh State in India .
Karsog is a subdivision of Mandi distt and lies in the pir panjal range of Himalayas bordering Shimla District. Agriculture Horticulture are the main occupation of local peoples. These region is the Apple ballet of Mandi Distt. Karsog famous for its temples,it is a small town near Shimla and at a height of 1,404 metres. It is famous for Mamleshwar Mahadev, Kamksha Devi and Mahunag temples. It is full of scenic beauty and abundance of apple orchards.
Scope of Tourism in Karsog: this valley has huge potential for tourism, Karsog, Chindi, Tattapani are some famous place among tourist. Hotels and guest houses are available at Karsog and Chindi. Karsog is well connected with other part of himachal via road. One finds nature at its best offering beautiful surroundings, green forests and pollution free environment. One can go for trekking from Karsog via Kandabai to Shikari devi. Tourist can see the traditional himachali culture in Karsog and other places of Karsog sub division. Home stay are also available in some places of Karsog region.
Karsog is growing in term of education advancement various institution are setting up here, all major govt department offices are situated here, Govt college, schools and some private schools. Population density is less as compare to other part of mandi distt. weather here are always pleasant. Literacy rate is growing and soon it will touch the state literacy rate.
